Lucy Mackenzie

Drama Teacher | Director | Examiner

Lucy trained at Bretton Hall, Leeds, and completed her specialist drama teacher training at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. She is an experienced and dedicated drama educator, having taught students from Reception through to Year 13, including GCSE and A Level Drama.

Her career has spanned some of London's leading schools. She currently teaches at Oundle School, Laxton Junior School, and The Peterborough School, where she continues to inspire creativity, confidence, and expressive storytelling in students of all ages.

Lucy has directed a wide range of productions, including Matilda, The Lion King, West Side Story, Finding Nemo, Macbeth, The Tempest, The Railway Children, Beauty and the Beast, Lord of the Flies, Jekyll and Hyde, and Wind in the Willows. She has a particular love for physical theatre and movement-based performance, which often features strongly in her creative approach to staging.

She is also a LAMDA examiner and a talented musician, performing to a high level in piano, flute, and voice, with a strong foundation in musical theatre
